Selecting XBOX 360 games bundle appropriate for your needs

Everyone would like to have an XBOX 360. Choosing the right XBOX 360 games bundle can be a bit of a chore though. Many people are still afraid of the red ring of death. Also affectionately referred to as the “rrod”. However the problems that caused that have been worked out and are being fixed, for the most part.

Many consumers find difficulties in choosing a problem-free version of the console. The newer Xbox 360’s have been modified with newer and better parts to prevent problems from the rrod. The E-71, E-74, and the E-79 come to mind. These often indicate a hardware problem and need to be sent to Microsoft for repairs, unless you’re a tech guru and can do it yourself.

Of course since all the newer models don’t have these problems anymore all you have to do is pick one. Make your own decisions and choose the right Xbox 360 games bundles. The first one up for consideration is the game of the year edition. The model shown here is the Xbox 360 Elite; it is black and comes bundles with Halo 3 and Fable 2. The majority of the elite systems have a huge 120 gigabyte hard drive and hdmi outputs in the rear.

You can expect to pay about five hundred dollars for it.This one can burn a hole in your wallet, unless you happen to be rich. Then you have the arcade bundle which has just the plain XBOX 360 with no hard drive, no memory card, and two arcade game compilations. Most arcade models have 256 megabytes of internal storage though, so you can save your games, just no updates or music. Most of the time, this bundle sells for $200.00 USD and is the most wallet friendly.

the pro system is now just $300 and middle ground is there00 USD. You won’t usually find any games included with this bundle, but there are other pleasant surprises that are included. 60 gig hard drive, wireless controller, headset and hdmi output are maily used This is a nice bundle for those looking at the middle ground. With all the demos games that are available on the internet you won’t get bored while waiting to buy new games.

The main difference between the versions is the motherboards. The arcades are all fitted with the latest motherboards that aren’t as power hungry, or hot, but the pros and elite’s have been a little slower to receive this upgrade. It comes equipped with a wired controller port. The rrod has been eliminated and there is a 1 year warranty out of the box. Just be sure to register.

In closing finding the right XBOX 360 games bundle for you is something you will have to decide. In addition to the versions of the XBOX 360 above there are still plenty of old models on the market. It is possible that these could have the rrod error. The best way to check is the manufacturer date on the back; if it was made after the start of 2009 you are okay. Now do you want the low end, middle ground, or uber expensive high end bundle?

Do the Xbox 360 pro bundles come with the 65nm Falcon chip (manufactured after 8/24/07) to prevent overheating and other technical problems???

http://www.gamestop.com/product.asp?product%5Fid=020079

Ummmm i havent really heard about the pro bundle having the 65 nm chips in them but if ur a Halo 3 fan and if u wanna get the 65 nm chip then i suggest u buy the Xbox 360 Halo 3 Edition but im not sayin tht if u get the H3 edition ur gettin the 65 nm chip (Falcon)…the chips have only been found in some 360’s which were Halo 3 Editions…I havent heard about the other 1’s having 65 nm…but ull have a better chance gettin the 65 nm chip by buying the H3 Edition…

How to find a Falcon model 360 in stores

Based on the info, A Falcon model Xbox 360 MUST BE:

Lot #0734 (Halo 3) or later (all SKUs)

Manufactured on or after 8/24/07(An HDMI Premium manufactured on 8/19 has been reported as 65nm.)

Team FDOU (Other teams may be Falcon as well, but none have been reported)

How to find Lot and Team info:
There is a white sticker on the side of the box with the lot # and team. In order to find the manufacturing date without opening the box, there is a flap on the side of the box that allows you to peek inside and see the manufacturing date on the console itself.
