Need Help with Electronics?
Okay so i just started to play the XBOX 360. My friend game me an XBOX 360 elite fully equipped with the hdmi cable, 2 games, controller and a nice set of turtle beach ear force x3 headset.
So what i’m trying to do now is currently set up the headset so I can use it on my Magnavox HDTV 1080p. However i’m running into some great problems. The normal game sound is coming through the t.v. speakers. I can’t figure out how to set it up so that way I can use the headset. I have tried pluggin the white and red wires into AV1, AV2, AV3, and side panel and still i’m getting nothing. When i play on the xbox the channel i’m on is HDMI2.
I know this is probably confusing but as you can tell i’m very confused myself. Does anyone have a how to guide or a website that I Could use to try and calibrate this so that way the sound comes into the headset only and I am able to use my mic.

Most TVs have a headset jack, frequently on the side or front of the TV, that automatically kills the sound to the TV speakers when a headset is plugged in. There really should not be any setup to it. As for using a mic, I’m thinking the normal TV audio jacks are outputs and I think you are going to have a problem with this part of your request.
