Learning About Xbox 360 E Errors Can Help You Save Money

Out of the blue, while you’re playing Halo, your screen becomes discolored or blurred. Although you hope it’s just some temporary problem with the TV, the game suddenly stops. This is a situation that every Xbox 360 gamer fears. However, there are many quick fixes for your Xbox 360 that you can do yourself.

It’s important to realize that there are a number of things that can cause your system to have problems and not just one. While there is one problem in particular that many experience, there are numerous problems you may be dealing with.

It’s paramount that you fully understand the E errors to assist you in making the repair to your Xbox 360. An E error notifies you when the Xbox 360 takes in a single red light in the lower left corner. This will happen after you reboot your system. After you reboot there will be one red light flashing and show an error message onscreen. Errors are signified by an “E” and two numbers.

DVD errors are attributed to the error codes of E64, E65 and E66. There are numerous articles online to help you with the repair of a Xbox 360’s drive. There is also the possibility it can be caused by overheating as well. Sometimes a simple reboot of the system is all that is required for you to get it working again.

If you get E67, E68 or E69 these are hard drive errors.  Reformating the hard drive may solve the problem or just unplugging and plugging it back in may do the trick as well. However, don’t even attempt to reformat the hard drive unless you have clear, step by step directions right in front of you to guide you along.

E73 can signify a general hardware error. This can be caused by problems with the ethernet or networking port. If your console is connected to the internet via an ethernet cable, unplug it and try to play a game to determine if the problem is with the cable as opposed to the unit itself.

E74 is the most common problem that you will be facing. Improper installation of the AV cable is the most likely culprit in this particular problem. You will be able to fix the Xbox 360 and resolve your issues by unplugging it and plugging it back in. It also may be an ANA chip that has gone awry or an issue with your general hardware relating to your system overheating that is causing the problem.

There are countless errors you and your system can experience while enjoying a movie or a thrilling Xbox game. Prior to any repair to your Xbox 360 you will have to figure out exactly why it is malfunctioning. Once you figure out the particular malfunction you should surf the internet to see if you can locate a guide or console forum that discusses the problem and provides a solution.

what is a Xbox 360 Ethernet Cable?

my son wants this microsoft 60 gb hard drive live bundle for xbox 360 which includes a 60 gb hard drive,headset,3 month xbox live gold service, and a xbox 360 ethernet cable and i dont know what a ethernet cable is and he doesnt either so please help.

It kinda looks like an over-sized phone cable it connects to the back of your Xbox 360 to your wired router (If you have one). It’s for connecting your Xbox 360 to the internet.

if you have a wireless router the cable is pretty much useless (unless your connecting for LAN which is a whole other topic) and you will have to invest in a wireless adapter for your new Xbox that costs around $100 new
(BTW I have heard you can get them off Craig’s List for around $60 used)
