Setting up xbox 360 controller on pc. Call of duty modern warfare 2… windows 7 (64 bit?
Well I downloaded the Microsoft xbox accessories thing from their site. And It downloaded fine but when I plug in the controller the light comes off then goes right off… when I go into the game and try to play a game nothing moves. so i want to know if i need to set somthing up or what. People say it works but I cant figure it out. again I have windows 7 (64 bit)
Are you using a wireless controller, and have it plugged in through the charger? If that’s the case, all you’re doing is charging the controller. You have to get a real wired controller in order to use one on the PC. Wireless ones require the wireless signal receiver to work.
EDIT: Also, if you’re using a real wired controller, you may want to go to Control Panel/Game Controllers and see if your xbox controller shows up in there. You might have to calibrate it if it does. If nothing shows up in there, your computer isn’t detecting the controller as a game controller.
