What You Can Do Now
As you prepare for the launch of this epic new game though, there are a few things that can be done to prepare yourself for what the game will ask of you. Here are five that you can do now, before the game ever goes live.
1. Review the Closed Beta Accounts
If you were not in the closed beta, now is your chance to read up on what other players had to say about those closed beta opportunities. Review their leveling experiences, their screenshots and their opinions of the game. The more familiar you can get now, the easier the game will be when you get started.
2. Watch Some Videos
There are countless videos already on the Internet of Korean, Chinese, and Beta play that will show you what you can expect when the game goes live in a couple of weeks. Make sure that you review the content carefully as you’ll be doing those exact same quests and tasks when the game launches.
3. Preoder for Head Start Access
The game is still not out and that means you can still preorder and get your open beta access (if you order by September 13th) or your Head Start access (if you order by September 20th). The game will be in preselection mode on the 18th and then head start on the 20th. Avoid the crowds by ordering early and you’ll thank yourself immensely for months to come.
4. Find a Group of Fellow Players
You may not be able to log in with them yet, but find a group of like minded players now and you’ll be able to jump head first into 5 man content when the game goes live in September. Don’t waste valuable time later trying to get into a guild or team after everyone’s already started to build their own.
5. Read Up on Game Systems
Aion Online is not your typical western MMO. For that reason, it has many new and unique systems that you’ll need to learn about before you can start playing. Make sure that you have everything you need in place before you login so you can cut out the learning curve and start enjoying the game on day one.
