Warcraft 3 Patches
The player calendar is a new option for World of Warcraft players released in the last major patch for Burning Crusades, called “Echoes of Doom”. This patch is a final change to the current expansion and a way to introduce players to the many changes that will occur with the release of Wrath of the Lich King. To date, several Guilds are harnessing the true power of the player calendar in order to schedule instances, officer meetings, Raids, quest completions, and more! If you are part of a Guild that implements the use of the player calendar, it is a good idea that you learn how to respond to Guild events on the calendar in World of Warcraft’s Wrath of the Lich King. Here, you will learn how to do just that!
Now, when it comes time for your first invitation through the calendar, you will notice a change in the calendar icon that rests at the top right of the in-game mini-map. This icon generally shows the month and the day, but an alert will replace this particular display. When this occurs, you will want to put the mouse cursor over it and click on it to open it up. When the calendar opens up on the screen, you will see that one or more dates have a large size question mark on them. This indicates that someone in the Guild is asking you whether or not you want to participate in the event that will take place.
What you will need to do to gain a better understanding of what type of event is taking place, as well as all the details of the event, is click on it to open it up. Here, you will be provided all of the important details regarding what is taking place, when it is taking place, and possibly other types of material. Now, you will see that you have the options to “Accept” or “Decline”. You will want to choose one of these options in order to be respectful to the individual that has invited you. Now, if you decide to go another direction in your response after a period of time, as long as the moderator has not “locked” the event, you can actually go back in and change your status. This is all there is to responding to a Guild event in World of Warcraft’s Wrath of the Lich King Player calendar!
