Adventure Quest: Combat And Skill Points
In the Adventure Quest Online Role Playing Game, users from all over the world dwell through a whimsical land in search of battles and challenges to be fought. Most of these fights are started randomly while on a quest, or by some chance encounter. Once you come across your opponent, both players take turns sending attacks to the other one, be it a spell, potion, attack, or some destructive item. You can send animals on one another, as well as counter some attacks with healing tactics of your own.
The outcome of every battle is determined by the users defense modifier on their elements that they use to attack with. Different levels of power on the modifier can either strengthen or weaken your chances of winning the game. The battle ends once your opponent runs out of life, also known as HP, which would be shown but said HP dropping to zero. You gain or lose status based on your various winnings and losses.
Skill Points is essentially energy that you use to rejuvenate and activate certain features within the game. It’s used as a form of trading or currency; as you buy more spells and potions, your SP level begins to decrease. It is also used when you need to retreat from a battle or attack.
You start out with the ability to get a maximum of 50 Skill Points, and each character gains an additional 5 points for going up to a new level. While you start out at 0 SP, you can easily gain these points back in battles, as you defeat your opponent, their SP decreases, and your SP increases.

PS3 or 360? (no fanboys please)?
I know everyone asks this question, but i need help based on my specific situation. so…..I’m planning to get a new console, and I’m not sure if I should get a 360 or a PS3. My friends all tell me to get a 360, but I’ve heard about the potential of the PS3 and i don’t want to regret getting a 360 if it turns out bad. I don’t really play RPG’s a whole lot, I’m more of a sports gamer (and a Guitar Hero gamer =]). I have an HDTV thats capable of 720p and i dont really mind the difference between 720 and 1080 (if there is one). for online, i don’t really play online but i’m cheap, so i dont really want to pay for online (unless xbox live goes free in february, from what i’ve heard). i just want to know the pros and cons for each and which one i will be better off with now and maybe a few years from now based on what i’ve said.
