Xbox 360 says discs are unreadable, what to do?
I have a lite on drive that I have recently replaced its lens with a new, working one. Before the replacement it would not read discs (open tray error), but now instead it identifies the game correctly but upon playing it immediately says the disc is unreadable. Please help me how to solve this problem.
It might be your disc thats scratched or build up too much dust.
Try cleaning it, this way though, most ways of cleaning it will damage it even more!
First off, dip a cotton or silk cloth (even a shirt) in some warm water (DONT use tissue paper!!). Then, wipe it slowly from the inside ring to the outside ring in a straight line. Dont rotate the cloth around the disk or else you could damage it even more. Dry it with another cloth, the same way you cleaned it. If that doesnt work you could try some alchohol based solution but nothing too strong.
