Honestly, I don’t know if you’ll like this, but I loved AoE as a kid, and moved on to the Fire Emblem series. You can download No$GBA emulator and a Fire Emblem: Blazing Sword ROM to play it on the computer. It’s a tactical, turn-based strategy game with a storyline involving kingdoms and dragons, and you control multiple characters of different classes.
