It seems that everybody nowadays wants to know a little about MechScape, and I’m here to provide you with that MechScape Help. Unfortunately, not a whole lot is known about MechScape at this point in time as Jagex has been very secretive about their latest project.
What MechScape Help can I give you?
Well we do know that it will be a Science Fiction MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game), set in the future and aimed towards a much more mature audience than Runescape, Jagex’s current MMORPG. The graphics are likely to be slightly more advanced than the graphics of RuneScape, and the back story a bit more complex.
We do know that MechScape will run inside of your web browser using a java applet in the same way that RuneScape currently does, and the game will be full of ‘Mech’s which are robot like creatures. It is also widely believed that MechScape will contain a wide range of exciting vehicles for traveling around in.
We can assume that MechScape will use the same user accounts as RuneScape does because funOrb (one of Jagex’s recent releases) uses them as well. It is also safe to assume that MechScape will use the same subscription method that has made Jagex millions of dollars with RuneScape – that is, there is likely to be both a free and a paid version of MechScape available.
The current scheduled release date for MechScape is during the first quarter of 2008. Currently, there has been no indication from Jagex that this release date will be postponed, and Jagex are renowned for releasing content on time.
Rest assured that Jagex have promised that RuneScape will remain their main priority, even after MechScape has been released.
