Red Dead Redemption – Xbox360 Game of the Year
There are some good contenders for this year’s game of the year award, Final Fantasy XIII, Halo Reach, Dead Rising 2 and Bioshock 2 are high on many people’s list and we are only put half way through the year. So can Red Dead Redemption beat them to first spot?
Red Dead Redemption is a third person shooter/action/adventure which was both released for the PS3 and Xbox 360. The main story line is set in the year is 1911, you play a man called John Marston who is experiencing somewhat of a resurrection. Many Years ago, a gang of outlaws he affiliated with left him for dead after a robbery that went wrong, het he survived and started a new life as a farmer and raised a family. Unfortunately his past lived on and he is back to hunt down his old friends so he can finally put an end to his past.
So is it Red Dead Redemption or just ‘Grand Theft Horse’? Well it has all the charateristics of a Rockstar game It has the classic mission struture that you might find in other Rockstar games but this is horses not cars! While the game word is not overly massive, it is big enough and let’s face it who wants to be a 5 to 10 minutes ride away, this is not World of Warcraft! Much development time has been spent with some of the more details of the graphics and Rockstar have managed to capture the essence of the Wild Wild West. All we need now is Will Smith and some other friends and a cheesy theme.
The missions are enjoyable, you might want a helping hand with some of them to speed up your progress if you find that you are stuck. You will find lots of help online. Look for questions on the game at epicfailgamer.com

Is there anyway of getting a Red Dead Redemption PS3 DLC?
Firstly i just want to no what a DLC is for the ps3?
Ive been told people got exclusive content when they pre-ordered the game? I was just wondering if it is still possible to get the DLC or exclusive content?
A DLC means downloadable contents that extends replayability value for a game. It could be additional maps, costumes, game modes etc.
People got exclusive content for the RDR but it doesn’t the game experience for us who didn’t preorder it. I believe the exclusive contents is just an additional outfit and a “Most Wanted” character to be hunted other than those who appear in regular versions. PS3 owners like me also have an exclusive gang hideout Solomon’s Folly and Walton Outfit.
The first RDR DLC (new game modes…co-operative modes) was released two weeks ago and good news…it is for free. Start the game, press the triangle button I believe and it’ll show you a way to get the DLC for free. Exclusive contents are not worth it and codes are only given to people who preordered the game.
