Mobile phones had dominated the world and had been used by the majority of the world’s population. A lot of mobile phone industry today had also benefited from this advance technology. Mobile phones innovations had gone a long way and we have so many brands and models to choose from. Some may even provide services aside from communications. There are mobile phones that have cameras, video and sound players, games, word processors, and even the ability to surf the net. It has been part of our lifestyle whether we like it or not.
No doubt mobile phones provide us with so many benefits. However, there are also hidden dangers in using this handy device. This article will tackle some of its bad effects to humans.
Study shows that people who constantly use cell phones as a means of communication may suffer hearing loss in the long run. This is due to the fact that we have to put the phone closer to our ear when we us it. The antenna of the phone also affects our ear. The frequency it receives will great affect our hearing. Chronic using may result to total hearing loss.
Whether we like it or not mobile phones emits radiation. As we all know radiation is bad for our health. Radiation from mobile phones leads to sleep reduction, headaches and confusion. Do not place your phone near your bed when you sleep. Radiation emitted by mobile phones while sleeping affects the stages of your sleep. Radiations from cell phones take longer time to reach the first of the deeper stages of sleep, and spend less time in the deepest one. As a result users may develop bad sleeping habit for example insomnia because there’s that disruption of the natural course of sleeping. Insomnia does not only affect your sleep but the whole well-being of the person. Lack of sleep makes one susceptible to diseases because the body does not function at its maximum. It can lead to headaches, confusion and lack of concentration.
High-tech cell phones are multi-functional. Yes, it will make your life easier. Some mobile can replaces the functions of a camera, music players, recorder and even a computer. User can now have all the technology they want in a single piece that will fit into your own pocket. But then again some people use the ability of mobile phones to do bad instead of good. We have scandals, mostly from celebrities, everywhere and teenagers are trying to get their hands on these videos. And most of these scandals are actually retrieved or copied from the owner’s phones. This is a form of privacy encroachment.
The best thing to deal about the problems of cell phones is to use it moderately. Something that is done or taken in excess is bad. Be responsible of your action. Being a victim of scandal will sometimes start because of your own doing. Keeping explicit videos or materials in your phone is like trying to wait for a bomb to explode. If its private moments and you documented it then keep it away from people’s grasp. Mobile phones can easily be cracked. If you lost one and you have secrets their chances are those who found it will spread it. Save yourself from public humiliation. Be very careful in using your mobile phones.
