Compare Final Fantasy XIV to 11?
Hi everyone.
I pre-ordered the collector’s edition of FF XIV, and also played… meh…
I haven’t played 11 but i am not really happy with 14. 14 has got a bad UI ( I understand that this UI will be easy for PS3 players, but damn it im a PC player and the UI is so primitive. You can’t open more than one windows like gear and inventory. ). You can’t grind because it takes a long time to find a mob to kill. Also you cant really tell if the mob you are trying to kill is stronger than you are. I am currently rank 8 in Conjurer and i can’t really find any more quest to do ( guilleves ).
Guys what do you think of this game and what do you think about number 11, compare to 14 ( i am talking about people who played or still playing both 14 and 11 ).
Finally do you want to go back to 11.
Final Fantasy XI is an unique game in that it is both mature and extremely kept up by the developers. Many video games go by the way-side after a few years. FFXI, on the other hand, continues to receive upgrades to the story lines, character attributes, player / user interface, and every other aspect of the game. SE incorporates the positive aspects of other MMORPG and provides them to the FFXI player. An example is Player .vs. Player wasn’t part of the original design, in fact that was just the opposite, as the games was all about groups of players not the individual. Yet, SE heard the players, saw WOW, etc and expanded the game. FFXI has and will continue to expand to meet the needs of the community now and in the future.
The basis of FF14 in play style is different thank FF11, just as it is with FF Dissidia and other Final Fantasy games. What matters the playing style you like and those you don’t like. The world is big enough for both to survive and thrive together side by side.
Personally, I like the FFXI job / level direction and so I plan on staying on FFXI till the bitter end. I’ll take breaks from time to time (I’m on one now), but my choice works for me. You need to find what works for you.
